More information to follow. Food Drive from now until next Friday to donate to our needy family. Show your Heckman Spirit by supporting Heckman Families. Gift cards, food, and paper products appreciated. President’s continued Announcements: ~Football in the Halls: A Big Thank you to Marie Sarle and her team of helpers for another successful charity event! Go Heckman! ~Pizza Bingo: Another BIG Thank You to Amanda Black and all of her helpers for a job Well done! I heard it was a lot of fun. Also, a Big thank you to Mr. Kern for all of his help for making this evening a special one! We appreciate it! ~Yearbook happenings: Yearbook sales & Love lines. Love lines: Firm due date: March 19th. Yearbook orders: Due by March 19th. Any orders after March 19th are subject to availability only. So please do not delay. Thank you Yearbook staff for a wonderful job! I am impressed with it already! I am looking forward to seeing the completed book. ~Poetrypalooza Pops! – Mrs. Connolly has come up with a new reading incentive for this year to coincide with our Author Day visit scheduled for May. Her time Line: Students are to read 5 poems in February & March. March 30th Poetry forms are due. Any Original poems need to be completed by April 19th. Happy Reading! I will be sending more information via email soon. Not receiving PTO emails. Please let us know. We have been experiencing some problems which have not been explained. A 1St grade Class in Heckman is making a difference! Mrs. Mannherz’s class had gotten together to help out Heckman Families in need by collecting non-perishable foods and goods to keep Heckman Families warm and Healthy during the winter season. Go Mrs. Mannherz’s class! Great Job! The Nurse - Families at Heckman are continuing to struggle through these tough times. The nurses have asked if there is any way for all of as a community to come together and help out these families in need. They are both suggesting Soups (Vegetarian style also) and Paper Products like toilet paper and napkins etc. If you are able to help out even just a little, it would be greatly appreciated. In addition, if you could please help us spread the word, it would also be a great help. We are looking for donations as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your help! Together Heckman is making a difference! Upcoming Events: Feb.16th- Coffee Talk 9:30AM (kids welcome) Feb.20th- No school –President’s Day Feb. 21st- Restaurant Night- Isaac Newton’s (all day: need to bring a flyer). Feb. 24th- Heckman Spirit Day- School event wear Red/Blue or Heckman shirt March 2nd-Dr. Seuss Day School Event. March 7, 2012 - School In Session March 9th-Kindergarten registration March 12-23rd- PSSA Grades 3-5- Math & Reading March 18th-Roller Skating Party at Palace, arrive at 5, skate at 5:15. 2 hours long March 20-23rd- JDRF- Charity Event $1.00 or more donation to help raise money for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. March 21st- PTO Meeting 7:45PM March 22nd- Coffee Talk - 9:30AM Kids welcome! March 28th-PTO POTH Dress rehearsal at Maple Point Middle School. *POTH Groups will have their yearbook photos taken at this time. Please note: This will be the only date available for these photos to meet the yearbook deadline. Thank you in advance for understanding! 4:15 PM is Dress Rehearsal time. March 30th POTH Show. Tickets will be distributed to participating students only.
