“Pink Slime” is a term given to the processing of beef that adds Lean Beef Trimmings (fillers) and ammonium hydroxide in the beef production process.  The meat trimmings pass through a centrifuge and are exposed to ammonia gas to destroy pathogens such as E. coli and Salmonella

 Neshaminy Food Service has not purchased government beef and our vendors reported they do not use the above process in their production.
