I love Instrumental Music Performance...

I love instrumental music performance, particularly on my own instrument the trumpet. I have fond memories of playing in the County Band in 7th-9th grade and Inter-County Jazz Band in 8th and 9th grade. I played in band, jazz band and orchestra and marching band adn sang in the choir in high school. My most memorable playing experiences in high school include county, district, regional band and orchestra and state orchestra.

At Temple University I enjoyed playing in every instrumental ensemble. I performed with the orchestra, wind ensemble, concert band, marching band, was a founding member of the Basically Brass Quintet and sang in two choirs.

Beyond the undergraduate experience, I continued to enjoy playing with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, the Duprees, the Four Tops, and other popular groups. I performed with the Pottstown Symphony, the Trenton Symphony and the La Boheme Opera Company of New Jersey.  I have played all kinds of music from polkas bands, dixieland, musical theatre, jazz bands, salsa, and even rock bands. I had the unique opportunity in 1999 to play for the inauguration of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.

I still have fun playing the trumpet but I've branched out a little. I enjoy playing the trombone and drumset as well as the trumpet at Langhorne United Methodist Church where I lead the Jericho Brass Ensemble. I occaissionally play trumpet solos and still organize small group performances of students.

Sometimes you can see me playing in the pit for one of Neshaminy's great shows. Come and see me if you do!

Most of all, I've had fun directing ensembles in the Neshaminy School District where I've taught band instruments at the middle and elementary levels. In my postition as band director, I get to play all of the instruments of the band every day while teaching kids how to have fun performing in band.
