Building Security Reminder
The Safety of our children and teachers and the security of our building must never be compromised at any time.
It continues to be paramount that we provide our children with a safe environment and it starts with building security. The entrances to our building need to be locked at all times and who and why persons enter our building has to be monitored and controlled by our entire staff. We implemented a new policy this year and it seems to be working for the most part.
This notice only serves as a reminder to all of our parents, guardians, relatives and visitors. Although we need to be vigilant at all times, I am particularly concerned with regard to the beginning and end of the day.
No one, except for staff and students, is permitted in our building without first reporting to the main office. At both entrances to the school are security monitoring systems. Simply ring the security button, state your name and business, and then report directly to the main office.
Under no circumstances is anyone to go anywhere inside the building, other than the office, without authorization.
This policy remains in effect throughout the day and whenever students are present in our building. If you need to speak to your child's teacher, send in a note or make an appointment through our main office.
I am confident that these "safe school" initiatives are very much consistent with your beliefs and that the safety and well being of our children must come first.
