History Club - Hear ‘Ye, Hear ‘Ye all Sandburg students!  Come join the NEW Sandburg History Club!  We are not just another history class.  We are a club for students who like History.   If you are looking for a way to get involved at school or, if history and social studies are something that interests you, come to our informational meeting Thursday, February 4th. from 3pm to 4pm in F-6.  If you are joining us, you must have an intramural form signed and completed.  Forms can be taken off of the club bulletin board in the main hallway.  


Intramural flag football is on Tuesday and Thursday's from 3pm to 4pm with Mr. Durante, weather permitting.  Intramural flag football after school is canceled until further notice.
Intramural Pickleball and Shuffle Board is on Monday and Wednesday's from 3pm to 4pm with Mrs. Martian and Mr. Bogart. 

Intramural Wrestling - will be Tuesday and Thursday after school in caféteria until 4pm until Feb. 4th. - This the last week of intramural wrestling.  The last day is Thursday, February 4th.

 The PTO is in need of help with our upcoming PTO Family Bingo Night. Please help by donating baskets or items to go in our baskets.

We are asking each grade to donate certain new items…
5th grade...puzzles, games, coloring books, crayons, markers, etc (for family game night basket(s)
6th grade...candy and snacks, movies, movie tickets, etc (for family movie night basket(s)
7th and 8th grade...sports items, balls, sports teams apparel, anything sports related.
Anything you feel we could use please send in to school with your student. Please send donations to school by February 12, 2016.  Without the support of you and your families we could not do anything!! Thank you so much for your support!!!
Upcoming PTO happenings:
SCHOOL DANCE: The next school dance will be held Friday, February 5, 2016. All grades(5th-8th) are welcome. This dance is a "Luau" theme. It's 7pm-9pm, $5.00 admission, with food and snacks for sale. 

 FAMILY BINGO *** Rescheduled to 2/19/2016***  We will have a "Family" bingo night on Friday,February 19th.. If you are interested in donating a basket or items, please contact the PTO or Nicole Schultz (PTO Co-President) at nicoleschultz1202@gmail.com.

4. PTO OFFICERS: We will be in need of several new PTO officers starting with the 2016-2017 school year.  We are looking for 2 to 3 Dance Coordinators and 1 Vice President.  If you are interested in these positions please let the PTO know as soon as possible.

Please remember there are some other "non" events that can help raise funds for the PTO to help our school: Target Red Card program, Save around coupon books, the Shoe Drive, and Redner's Receipts.

February 12th will be our next BOX TOP COLLECTION CONTEST!  The top 3 homerooms that turn in the most box tops by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12TH, will each receive a treat!!  All monies from our BOX TOP collections help fund our SPIRIT program.  All box tops can be sent to Mrs. Jackson.  Start clipping today!! 

Sandburg collects Box Tops all year long!  Start clipping box tops and turn them in to your homeroom teacher.  There will be several contests throughout the year and your homeroom can win special treats.
